Hi, I’m Ash Blanton

Atlanta Therapist for Teen Boys and Young adult Men

I don’t know about you, but for years, I was the guy who always said I was “good” when people asked. If I were honest, the pressures of trying to keep up were adding anxiety and stress to my life.

It felt like I had to hustle for my worth and always stay on top of everything just to keep up. The more I tried and the harder I worked, the more things kept speeding up.

After realizing the importance of therapy, I experienced real change. I finally understood what it meant to live a life that matters. I then devoted my career to helping teens, young adults, and families be their very best.

I help teens and young adults understand what they truly care about by helping them define their values, understand their mental game, and help them develop skills to live the life they want.

Do you put an unrealistic amount of pressure on yourself? I aim to help you achieve your goals in a way that works for you.

My Guiding Principles

Relational

I believe that we are people first. We spend time at the beginning getting to know one another. This helps our future work.

Experiential

Experiences heal other experiences. By using creative methods and visual aids, it is easier to bypass the mental blocks that keep us stuck.

Goal-Oriented

Direction is important. We spend time understanding what is working for you in life and what isn’t. This helps us know we are working on the right things.

Wellness-Focus

There are six dimensions of “deep health”: relational, existential, emotional, mental, environmental, and physical. We assess how you’re doing in these areas to help chart your goals.

Identity Development

It’s important to know your story because the stories we tell ourselves shape our world. We dive into your story and understand who you are, your beliefs, strengths, and your values.

Systems-Minded

Our systems are designed to give us the results that we are getting. We hone your organizational, financial, and support systems to help the skills and insights you learn in therapy to stick.
